A Bit About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Management and Organizational Behaviour at MacEwan University School of Business. I received my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Social Science Research Methods (SSRM) from Cardiff University Business School, Wales, UK. I obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Glamorgan University (now known as the University of South Wales), Wales, UK, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mass Communication from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. Previously I taught postgraduate and undergraduate students in a range of courses related to management, employment, and organization at Cardiff Business School, and was certified as an Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). Prior to joining academia, I worked in several industry sectors including the mass media, telecommunications, and financial services.

My research work is eclectic including studies of change management, organizational behavior, and management education. My research examines the intricacies involved in the change management process in organizations mainly using qualitative research methods. I also explore the impact of management education on the wider society with a focus on service learning. Currently, as part of my research on organizational behavior and change management, I am investigating organizational members’ responses to interpersonal mistreatment at work via remedial voice decisions, and how these research findings will inform changes in organizations.

My research has been funded by MacEwan University School of Business, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Research results have been published in peer-reviewed journals, academic books, business case studies, and academic conference proceedings. Interpersonal mistreatment research has been published in the Canadian Journal of Behavioral Science. Service-learning research has been published in Higher Education Pedagogies, and SAGE Open. Organizational change and management-related research have been published in the Routledge Handbook of Organisational Change in Africa, Essentials of Organisational Behaviour in Africa, and listed business cases are accessible via Harvard Business Review and Ivey Publishing.
